(via www.bnqt.com) Chinese television network, CCTV, invited Timo Pritzel over to Beijing recently to take part in its latest episode of Guiness World Records. The crew set up a massive wooden kicker/height pole/landing on a lot somewhere in Beijing and Timo got busy. Timo managed to break the world record by jumping 17 feet!

TREK is organizing its 4th cyclo cross event this SUNDAY
the 23rd of November at the Wenyu Riverside.
The organizers are stressing this is NOT a race but rather an event. It’s more important that you join and ride at a level you find comfortable rather than feel you must race around as quickly as you can.
The meeting time at the track is 13:00 and as usual, TREK will provide a shuttle service for bikes and people

Meet at this store at 12:00 (aim for departure by 12:15) and then Upper East Side at 12:30 (the return trip will visit these places on the way back).
There will also be a kids event so bring take along the family!
Cost for the event is 40rmb entry fee, 20rmb for transportation.

After watching the short video by the Beijing MOB last week, we were inspired to put together our own short video. What we have here is not it! This is just a bit of footage we shot yesterday morning in an hour or so of riding.
We’ll start some ‘real’ filming this week on better camera and add the footage when it’s done.

With the current economic crisis easing slightly and the U.S dollar hitting a 2 year high against the Euro and the Indian Rupee dropping “we could expect to see a surge of interest in India as the new major manufacturing base” Says Indian analysts.
Over the last year, the rupee has lost a big 10.20 to the dollar. This is in complete contrast to the strength of the rupee that was witnessed for over five years, between mid-2002 and end of 2007. So far this year itself, the Indian currency has lost nearly 21% against the dollar. Market analysts claim that the pressure on the rupee will continue.
The Indian Bicycle Industry are hoping this drop could see manufacturers taking there operations to Indian and taking advantage of the current strength of the Dollar.
Winter is drawing on and all around the globe the Cyclocross season is kicking off. China will be no different as Trek will be holding its 3rd Cyclocross event on the 16th of November in Beijing at Wenyu Riverside.
Cyclocross is a cross country style racing event which can involve tarmac road and muddy technical single track. Although there are special Cyclocross bikes (imagine a road bike with knobby tires and canti brakes) most events like the one this weekend will allow entry of regular road bikes and mountain bikes, as long as they’re in race worthy condition.
As usual Trek will provide a shuttle bus to the event from the Trek Chaoyang store at 12 oclock on the 16th, race begins at 1pm. Trek will also have rental cross bikes and mountain bikes for the event, but you will have to book them in advance.

Quad品牌以超棒的刹车著称，现在Quad又出轮组与之相对应，但是，Quad轮组和其他的品牌轮组一样好吗？在第一，二次的使用中，轮组会发出“叮”的声音，但是经过几次的自身磨合后，这种情况就不副存在。轮组有一点点的弯曲，但是弯曲程度并没有过火，而且即使经过非常难的骑行后，给轮组的唯一损坏只是轮圈的一点点凹痕。
后花鼓有六个齿轮具，活动相当灵敏，不仅看上去很不错，而且附带快拆（QR)。整个轮组，不带快拆的重量为：1770g.对这个级别来说是相当棒的。
所以Quad轮组质量好，中等重量，坚固耐用。
